Autumn/Winter 2019 Couture- Ralph & Russo

Autumn/Winter 2019 Couture- Ralph & Russo

I always look forward to Ralph & Russo. Their clothes are always so dreamy, girly, and definitely inspiring.

Here’s all the looks I like this season…

I’m very excited at the prospect of headbands coming back. There’s nothing like a cute headband to jazz up an outfit in ten seconds. Also, gluing flat back pearls or sewing pearl beads onto a headband is super easy.

I’m also intrigued by the top here. I wonder if it’d be possible to jazz up a cami with some strings of pearls. With a good amount of beads and interfacing I could see this working.

I really thought that since we’re kind of going into the 20’s again that we’d see a lot more flapper inspiration. I’ve always wanted a really fringed dress and I love that they’ve incorporated a bit of sparkle into this one. If you give fringe some weight it always looks more expensive. I mean… it couldn’t hurt trying to track down a shift dress and some cute fringe…

I’d bet it’d look good in black…

I love the bust on this- how its almost like a fan. Logically I know that sewing a full on fan into a dress wouldn’t be great, but there’s got to be a way to get this look… I mean, if you took the fan spines out and replaced them with boning… In any case, I love this dress, and I hope to one day get the advanced sewing skills to recreate it.

Also, I wonder if I should start learning how to make fans…

I’m a sucker for a wedding dress and this one is gorgeous.

I also am in love with that headband. If you got some good quality fake flowers it’d be a cinch to make.

I mean, the only problem with Ralph & Russo is I’ll end up spending the rest of the day wondering where I’d wear anything super fancy….
